Hunterian Museum
The Hunterian Museum coordinated an exhibition to shine a spotlight on women in surgery. The exhibition was open throughout International Women’s Month bringing together women from different surgical specialties, career stages, and regions across the UK.
Portraits of Women in Surgery
Background
Brief
The museum tasked Whistlejacket with designing various outputs for the exhibition, including banners, an exhibition booklet, merchandise and the labels for the portrait photography on display within the exhibition area.
Whistlejacket developed a design system that aligned with the Hunterian Museum brand, and incorporated elements drawn from the portraits themselves, creating an engaging look and feel unique to the exhibition. A bold typographic approach was taken for the assets, adding emphasis to the surgeon’s quotes and creating an eye-catching identity for the exhibition.
The team were also honoured to attend the private event to celebrate the launch, seeing the printed outcomes in person and experiencing the exhibition firsthand!
